Ode to Dog
Dog, when I call you never ever fail to hark,
And always carry out all my requests.
And every evil trembles at your bark,
You surely deserve the title of Man’s Best.
Friend, your heart always overflows with love,
Can you come and fill up my empty cup?
Always giving with kind eyes locked above,
To return the love I gave you as pup.
Love, is there anything we both cannot do?
We shall overcome all that life has hurled.
I know together we will see it through,
For your loyal service you deserve the world.
I am proud and honored to call you my dog,
In your gentle soul I see the work of god.
